BEYOND WHAT IT SEEMS

INTRODUCTION

Yesterday, which happened to be the eve of Christmas, I had the opportunity to go round town to ‘fulfill all righteousness’. As I passed through the major markets, I almost was convinced that most people were chased out of their house since the crowd I saw was enormous. The ATM stand of all ‘major’ banks were clad with a long queue of people. Everybody was on the move as they PREPARED for CHRISTMAS.

UNDERSTANDING THE WHY?

Just before you celebrate what God did, take out quality time to consider why he did what he did— a revelation into the purpose will drive your celebration towards the right direction ” – POJOMATICS

Today is December 25, 2016 and even the babies in his/her mother’s womb can attest to the fact that TODAY IS CHRISTMAS. The only problem I have with ‘Christmas’ is that MOST PEOPLE CELEBRATE WHAT HAPPENED— the birth of Christ— but they fail to give thought to WHY IT HAPPENED— the reason why Jesus was born.

The IGNORANCE TO THE WHY dated back to the days of the Israelites. They celebrated WHAT GOD DID, delivering them from Pharaoh and other enemies just to take them to the Promised Land, but they failed to realize WHY GOD DID IT. No wonder a great population died in the wilderness.

Take out time and answer the question: “WHY WAS JESUS BORN”? It will be shocking that most people don’t know precisely WHY JESUS WAS BORN. They have simply being carried away by ACTIVITIES—cooking, clothes, fun…

RE-CONNECTION

The main reason Jesus was born is TO RECONNECT MAN TO GOD. After Adam fell, there was a disconnection between God and Man which made Man spiritually dead, this created a vacuum for a NEED FOR RECONNECTION.

During the ROMAN EMPIRE, God saw it was the perfect time and He sent HIS SON to be born.

HOW TO ACCOMPLISH

The only way for JESUS to carry out his main assignment was through HIS DEATH. His death was a vehicle through which he had to accomplish his task.

IMPACT
Just living for 33.5 years, JESUS CHRIST made the most significant impact in the overall history of human existence.

OUR TASK
Our task then is to RECONNECT TO GOD, DISCOVER OUR PURPOSE, DEVELOP IT AND DEPLOY IT.

In conclusion, CHRISTMAS is day to celebrate the birth of a Man who discovered his purpose and serve the world with it. IT’S TIME FOR US RECONNECT TO GOD, DISCOVER OUR PURPOSE, DEVELOP IT AND DEPLOY IT AND THAT WILL MAKE GOD HAPPY.
