  INTRODUCTION

It’s no news that the education system in Nigeria is in a state of jeopardy. We claim to be using the western system of education but the average Nigerian student cannot compete effectively and efficiently with an average American student. The rate of examination malpractice is so high that even a student who has “all A’s” in his WASC or NECO cannot be trusted because the schools—both the public and private— give answers to their students in the examination hall and this has led to a colossal collapse of every sector of the country’s economy since we cannot produce qualified students into the labor market.

It was so strong that It erupted  a very strong headache. “What’s wrong?” I thought, but I seem not to know so I quickly got into TIME MACHINE to do a short research why I felt a blow on my mind. As I turned on my supercomputer and waited for it to come up, a beam of light from a section of the screen narrowed into my eyes for about thirty seconds. After this incident that almost stole my sight, I meticulously searched for what produced the light and I found it was a date, 10^TH FEBRUARY. Without being told, I knew that this date was historic. “Was this why I felt a strong blow on my mind late yesterday?” I asked myself as I seriously got busy doing a deep search online. Suddenly, A Date stood confidently on screen vibrating and I quickly clicked it and my time machine moved with great velocity as it took my backward into the 1960’s …

INTRODUCTION

Yesterday, which happened to be the eve of Christmas, I had the opportunity to go round town to ‘fulfill all righteousness’. As I passed through the major markets, I almost was convinced that most people were chased out of their house since the crowd I saw was enormous. The ATM stand of all ‘major’ banks were clad with a long queue of people. Everybody was on the move as they PREPARED for CHRISTMAS.

INTRODUCTION:

Mega Street Praise is presently an annual musical programme of Pavilion of Grace International Ministry where Artistes are invited to lead God's children into an unusual realm of heartfelt worship to God. It started in 2014 and it was a success and even the 2015 edition was a greater success and an explosive blast. Billboards and stickers of the musical programme—Mega Street Praise 2015 featuring Pastor Ovie, Pastor Onos, Kathy Jakes, Judewind, Kelvin Sapp, Teekee, Young Chief, Apostle Paul— has gone out throughout the city of Warri and beyond.

Tragedy struck on me which triggered my dad to quickly run into his room to get his car key—but he couldn’t find it even though it was on top of the table in his well furnished room, after a fruitless search, he later saw it— as my mum and siblings shouted my name like basic three students would pronounce a new word after their English teacher. My dad which was just wearing a short and a singlet— since he was just reading THE NATION newspaper, in front of the TV which was turned to CHANNELS STATION, after a hectic day at work— paced out of the house running towards the garage as he pressed the unlock button of his car key which opened his VENZA TOYOTA WAGON—with plate number ENUGU, AGG11-PTN.

Going through my daily routine of reading through various newspapers, I stumbled into a powerful HEADLINE. Just the headline of the article reminded me of an article of mine I didn’t paste last month and just before I share what I just read. Let’s take a short stroll into an event that happened last month.

I have passionately followed James Moss, Jessica Reedy, Tye Tribbett, Mali Music, Frank Edward, Kirk Franklin,Rev Victor Atenega, Tim Godfrey,  Deitrick Haddon, Lawrence Flowers and a host of others but few months back, precisely in the month of January, I encountered a young singer from Delta state that forced his way into my ‘MUSICAL HALL OF FAME’ through his skillfulness. I hardly envy people’s talent but I was tempted to envy his—and to be candid with you, I fell into the temptation… Lol. How did all this start? Travel with me to the ‘Genesis’ of our meeting.
